PI DAY

Your child should be bringing home the following information about PI Day on March 14th. Donated  can goods will be sent to the classroom to be counted and then put in the large tubs in the hall.

We Pi Day Events for Room 104

Pi Day Digit Challenge – Students should memorize as many of the digits of Pi as they can.  On Thursday, March 13th students will have the opportunity to recite as many digits as they can from memory.  The top student will be added to the Pi Hall of Fame.   The average number memorized is 30-40, however Gaurav Raja holds the record of 10,980 digits.  Here are the first 50…Good Luck!

Can Challenge – We along with Mrs. Cell’s room are working to collect 314 canned goods by Thursday, March 13th.  If we reach our goal then one lucky student from each room will get to throw a pie at Mr. Hill.  Help us to reach our goal by sending some canned goods to school.  All canned good will be donated to a local food pantry.

Pi Day Cheer - Please have your child practice the following cheer at home.  Our goal is to memorize it by the FISH meeting on 3-14.

We Love Pi Day to the core!  March 14th is 3 1 4.

Here’s where math gets really fun!  Pi starts 3 point 1 4 1.

Let’s make Pi Day come alive!  Let’s go 3 1 4 1 5!

Pi Day is Mitchell’s chance to shine!  3 point 1 4 1 5 9!

Pie Donations - No event is complete without treats.  I am looking for 3 or 4 parents that would be willing to donate a pie to our classroom on Friday, March 14th.  Please return the slip below if you are able to help us out by sending a pie to school on March 14th.
